UIHSS 9/15/2022

As my time concludes for this trip I am struck by the faith and commitment of the staff and families. Their basic love of God and Christian faith brings comfort and purpose while facing such hardships. Dengue fever was just the latest to hit the community during my time here. Simple clean water and a cooked meal bring thankfulness and joy. Our reputation for faith, service and excellence has grown exponentially to rival even the best expensive private schools. Families are added to the waiting list every day. Even families outside the area ask if they can pay to have their children enrolled. We have to explain our mission is for those who have no other options and we cannot accept the money. The second school/community center will help but the need far outpaced the availability. Huge shoutouts and love to Principal Julia Shahbaz David, Business Manager Shahbaz Gulzar, Education Director Ijaz Gulzar , the staff for modeling what faith can accomplish and all our supporters who make this a reality!
