Allen Ruppel receiving The Nellie Global Award.
The Milwaukee Brewers honored Allen Ruppel with The Nellie Global Award for his work with the Unity In Hope School. The Nellie Global Award is in honor of former player, coach, and Brewers broadcaster Davey "Nellie" Nelson. This award is given to individuals who have made a significant impact in the lives of others through their work and dedication.
As the founder of Unity in Motion, Allen Ruppel has served as the organization’s Executive Director for the first 20 years. He continues to serve as the organization's Development Director. Always looking to improve the lives of others, Allen has founded a new organization with the help of others, The Unity In Hope School which is located in Iqbal Town, Islamabad, Pakistan.
Allen and his team have been working tirelessly to develop The Unity In Hope Schools for the last couple of years. Unity In Hope Schools is focused on providing quality education to all students, regardless of their religion or socioeconomic background. The school is tuition-free, and students are given the opportunity to learn in an environment that is both safe and supportive. The curriculum is designed to meet the needs of all students, and the school provides a variety of programs and activities that help students grow and develop into well-rounded individuals.
"Although my name is on the award it is truly a shared honor with the literally hundreds of individuals and organizations that have come together to make UIHS such a beacon of hope to the families suffering malnutrition, illiteracy, and poverty in Islamabad due to their faith," said Allen Ruppel.
